Such a shame, I hate seeing craftsmanship like this destroyed

. It makes a change from vandals being the reason for the damage though.

Unfortunately it WAS vandalised - the cemetery used to have a lot of problems with teenagers using it for all the usual nefarious activities teenagers get up to when bored. There's a kind of beauty to be found in the way it's now decaying, but I think it'd now prove too expensive, if not near on impossible to rectify. I'd far preferred to have been photographing it in better condition though.
